1940s Gingham Puritan Star Quilt
You all know we love gingham around here, and the gingham fabric that makes up some of the piecework in this rose colored quilt make it a summertime dream.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand quilted and machine pieced
Weight: light
Measurements laid flat: 72” x 85”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
The main thing to note about this quilt is its newer edge binding. One spot of exposed batting but no other holes or tears to note. A few spots of discoloration on the back and the front isn’t quite as crisp white as it probably once was however that does not detract from the beauty of this piece.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
