1940s Postage Stamp Quilt
Also known as Trip Around The World, this pattern is always a fun one to come across and has a playful feel that will surely brighten any room you place it in.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand quilted and machine pieced
Weight: light to medium
Measurements laid flat: 55” x 70”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
A decent amount of piece work that has either torn or has natural wear due to its age where the batting is now exposed. No holes or tears that go all the way through. One or two spots of discoloration on the back and one area where some of the blues and green have very minimally bled through. This quilt has many more adventures to see and it is incredibly soft!
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
