1865 Indian Summer Quilt

$574.00
sold out

This 1865 Indian Summer patterned quilt is also known by the names Broken Circle and Sunflower.
A truly beautiful civil war era quilt from a Georgia family and was apparently never used according to their story.

Perfect to take with you on your next adventure or cozy up on a cold day at home.

D E T A I L S

Beautifully hand and machine pieced and hand quilted with precise cross hatch quilting.
A nice light-medium weight quilt for the transition in seasons.

Measurements laid flat:
83” x 71”

C O N D I T I O N
In very gorgeous useable condition. Has some spots and discoloring throughout, mostly from storage, that may come out with further spot treatment (ie: some good ol Palmolive and some sunshine!)

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact me via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

Thank you for understanding!
