Late 1800s Sunflower Medallion Quilt

$538.00
sold out

This late 1800s quilt has the most intricate and incredible sunflower medallion pattern and is made up of the most beautiful calicos and hand stitched quilting. In beautiful shape for its age, with some of the brown fabrics prone to the wear and aging that is to be expected from that time to this due to the dyes used. In a nice larger size that would suit a Queen and possibly even a King size bed (be sure to check measurements for your drape preference)

Would look just outstanding on a bed. Talk about a statement piece for a room.

D E T A I L S
Machine stitched piecing and hand stitched quilting.
There is very thin batting so this is a nice lighter weight quilt for the transition in seasons.

Measurements laid flat:
80”x100”

Shown on a standard Full sized bed

C O N D I T I O N
In absolutely gorgeous and useable condition. Has a few spots of discoloration and some wear on a few of the brown fabrics that make up the center flowers but nothing major to note.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact me via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
