This 1870s Tree of Life Quilt is an incredible once in a lifetime quilt. In beautifully rich red and green cottons and a white and black printed calico, it is in outstanding condition for its age and even has the original binding in tact.
The arrow sashes that surround the blocks are one of our favorite details of this antique stunner.

Found somewhere on the coast in Maine.

How it’s made: Hand quilted and hand pieced

Weight: Medium to heavy

Measurements laid flat: 97” x 78”

In gorgeous condition for its age, it does have a few small dark spots throughout but otherwise immaculate.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
