This quilt has been well used and well loved. It still is an exquisite beauty with some of our favorite fabrics. Its edges are slightly uneven, a handful of missing piece work and exposed batting, some areas on the front and back where the fabric dyes have spread to surrounding pieces due to dyeing process used. No holes or tears that we noticed that go all the way through. We did not soak this quilt for fear of further bleeding from the fabrics. The colors aren’t as vibrant and crisp as they were originally but we still love this old gal.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
