1880s Rose of Sharon Appliqué Quilt
If this isn’t a quilt for a flower lover…
This one certainly almost stayed in our personal collection (you all know how much we love floral appliqué quilts) and we will definitely be a little sad to see this one go!
A really special representation of this quilt pattern, the stems were of course green at one point but have faded to a lovely muted hazelnut color. Which really lends this quilt to be a special neutral piece in a home, with just the right amount of pop in the red roses.
From a Wisconsin Collector.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand quilted, hand appliqued
Weight: light
Measurements laid flat: 72” x 74”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

Tiny brown discoloration spots throughout, pinholes on front. Fabric is in perfect shape for use on a bed. Newer binding was added at some point in its life.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
