1862 Signed Pineapple Variation Quilt
Another of our personal favorites from this collection. The 10th photo reveals a very faint hand sewn signature which reads J.S.M. 1862. One of the best details on this quilt! So rare to come across a signature on a quilt and it feels like Christmas when we do.
The expertly hand sewn appliqué work is gorgeous with the bright cottons drawing your eye pleasingly across the quilt.
Fugitive colored binding. The borders feature gorgeous plume and floret hand quilting.

C O N D I T I O N
Wear to all edges and edge binding and a few spots of discoloration here and there but nothing major. No holes or tears to note either.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
