19th c. Reversible Hand Quilted Petticoat
This petticoat is one of the more remarkable pieces we’ve ever come across.
We love that it is reversible, it makes you feel like you are getting two garments in one!
The most prominent layer is a fabulous plaid wool challis with Prussian Green, the more subtle reverse is a cotton madder print. Waist band has buttons. It is only minimally hand quilted.

In excellent condition, original tie closure missing, and has been replaced with some trim. Very wearable, with care.
One tie has been replaced, the original may need replacing also if intended to be worn frequently.
