1940s Flower Quilt
This special quilt has slightly more wear and discoloration than the typical heritage quilts that we list have, however this beautifully rare pattern is one we couldn't resist offering. Mint green binding with scarlet red, lichen green and canary golden yellow flowers, we have never seen this pattern before. Incredibly soft and perfect for an adventure quilt or for your child’s bedroom.
Intricate hand stitches to the appliqué stem and leaves.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand quilted, hand stitched appliqué and machine pieced
Weight: light summer weight
Measurements laid flat: 70” x 79”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
Predominant wear to both edges opposite of one another, possibly due to being used as the head of the quilt. Slight edge binding wear as well as overall discoloration.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
