A Lone Star pattern variation. First known as the Mathematical star, this quilt design has roots in England and along the Eastern U.S. seaboard. It is believed that the Lone Star name didn't come along until the time of The Alamo. This pattern came be made up of 6 points, 8 points or even more points for the central star. We find this quilt to be unique since it features an 8 pointed star and a larger 16 pointed star.

How it’s made: hand appliquéd, machine pieced and hand quilted

Weight: light to medium

Measurements laid flat: 83” x 83”

C O N D I T I O N
Two or three spots of faint discoloration but no major flaws to note!

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
