1930s Printed Feed Sack Quilt
Another quilt in this collection that we love the back of due to the prominent feedsacks throughout. Of course you can choose to display either side.
If you wanted to use the feed sack side, a more neutral binding could be added to the edges to compliment the neutrality and allow for the text of the feed sacks to stand out.
Would make a great display piece or photo backdrop.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: hand quilted and hand pieced
Weight: light to medium
Measurements laid flat: 63” x 75”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
Small holes throughout on the back and one or two on the front where batting is exposed. No holes that we noticed that go all the way through. Uneven edge binding that is coming undone is some areas - an easy mend if you so choose. One or two spots of discoloration.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
