1910s Tumbling Blocks Quilt
Always a fun pattern to come across, this same assortment of patchwork can be perceived as stars when certain colors are used.
Some calicos in this quilt are from as early as the 1880s and there is almost a different one for every piece of patchwork.
A gorgeous and usable quilt for any collection.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: machine pieced and hand quilted
Weight: light
Measurements laid flat: 68” x 87”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
C O N D I T I O N
Batting exposed in a handful of places on the front with no holes or tears that go all the way through. Faint discoloration throughout from aging and use over the years, most noticeable on the edge binding and with a handful of slightly more prominent spots on the back.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
