1910s The Lost Ship Quilt
Decommission from a museum and by way of Pennsylvania, this quilt is a beautiful and near pristine rendition of this pattern.
Interesting bars of fabric added where other pieced triangle parts were the wrong size. A wonderful testament to wasting nothing. We secretly love the homespun back just as much as the front on this quilt.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand quilted, hand pieced
Weight: Light to medium weight
Measurements laid flat: 76" x 84"
Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
No notable flaws on the front. On the back, a few very lightly discolored spots, a few spots where the fabric has worn slightly thinner, and some areas where blue appears in the backing fabric from the weaving process.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
