1900s Bear Paw Quilt

$658.00
sold out

One of our favorites from this collection, with original makers marks, exceptional decorate quilting, and a very charming “mistake” in one of the blocks (can you spy it?).
A practice of the Amish quilting tradition wherein a mistake was made evident and created on purpose since no one but God could create something perfectly.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand quilted, hand and machine pieced

Weight: light medium

Measurements laid flat: 76” x 76”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N

Front has just a few discoloration spots and sporadic fading to red fabric. The back has a few more faint brown discolorations.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

Thank you for understanding!
