This 1890s - 1910 Whirling Log patterned quilt, also known as a Pinwheel pattern, is a real beauty.
Two color quilts are always a beautiful and simple statement in any room.
The Whirling Log has long been held in the Navajo tradition to symbolize the rotation of life itself. It is the four directions and represents protection and good luck. A nice lighter weight quilt, perfect for the transition in seasons.

D E T A I L S

Machine pieced and hand quilted with unique, intricate flower motif.

Measurements laid flat:

69”x78”

C O N D I T I O N
Good condition with some slight wear at the edges. Very tiny spots of discoloration on the back with several dark grey spots on front that almost go unnoticed . Red has faded to a lovely deep rose tone.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒  This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
