1890s Postage Stamp Quilt

$475.00
sold out

Postage stamp quilts are simple in their construction (albeit quite time consuming with all of those tiny perfectly cut squares!) but they are some of our personal favorites. A lovely and satisfying checkerboard grid, they are sure to pair nicely with other patterns in your home.

And did you notice our favorite square in this quilt? A sweet two-pieced blue patch. See if you can spot it.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand quilted and hand pieced

Weight: light

Measurements laid flat: 74” x 69”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

C O N D I T I O N
Nearly pristine condition! Almost no flaws except for some very slight discoloration on the front in a couple spots, one or two very small spots where batting is exposed on the front (could be easily mended) and some fading and one stain on the back.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
