1880s Kings Crown Quilt

$350.00
sold out

The iconic acid green and cheddar cottons of this quilt are paired with charming pink and yellow calicos. This quilt is a nice rare larger size. The sweet blue quilting thread used throughout the border caught our eye along with the heart and floral quilted details on some of the patchwork.

How it’s made: Hand quilted and hand pieced

Weight: light

Measurements laid flat: 81”x92”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.

Fading and discoloration throughout, most notably on the back of the quilt. Quilt backing is thinning and has worn through in some places and exposed the batting. The pink calico piecing flower centers have all worn out due to the dye used at the time. Still a very usable and lovely quilt.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
