1870s Eight Pointed Star Quilt
One of the crown jewels of this collection, this Eight Pointed Star quilt is in remarkable condition for its age. A hard one for us to let go of, but it deserves to be in a home where it will be the star of the show.

How it’s made: hand quilted and hand pieced
Weight: light summer weight
Measurements laid flat: 85” x 86”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.

Absolutely beautiful condition with a few exceptions. A handful of small slight discoloration spots possibly due to harsh spot cleaning on front and back. Very slight and minimal wear to the edges. Exposed batting in a handful of the stars from expected fabric aging. Unique fading on the back due to the fabrics used on the front. One very small hole that goes all the way through.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
