1860s Princess Feather Quilt
An amazing 26 stitches per inch of very remarkable hand quilting. A highly sought after pattern — this is certainly a gorgeous rendition of it! Has cotton seed batting and is a nice larger size.
Features turkey red and muted sage green vegetable dyed cotton and a crescent moon border. Our favorite detail though?
It’s signed “Z” on a back corner.

How it’s made: hand quilted and hand pieced
Weight: light summer weight
Measurements laid flat: 83” x 90”
Shown on a standard Full size bed.

Discoloration throughout as well as some small stains and fading/chemical reaction to some of the green feathers. Edge binding and patchwork are in amazing condition for its age. Slight yellowing discoloration to the back from fabric bleed through.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
