1860s Tumbler Charm Quilt
This Tumbler quilt is known as a “charm” quilt. Charm quilts are distinctive in that they are a scrap quilt that have no repeated fabrics throughout the quilt.
This was originally a quilt topper that has since been finished into a quilt. The binding and backing is from a later time period. This piece would serve well hung on the wall as the work of art that it is. And with every patch being a one of a kind fabric, it culminates into a beautiful collection that is really fun to look at and explore.

Wear throughout due to the fabrics’ age and the dye process used on various fabrics from this era. The back, due to it being newer, is sound however.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project my friends. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
